Running Hills with a 15lb. Dog Food Bag

Workout Tip Using a 15lb Dog Food Bag

You don’t necessarily need a GYM to get a solid workout. As we are in the “heart” of our San Francisco summers, I try to move outside as much as possible. There’s nothing like coming home after work and still having at least 2 hours of sunlight to extend the day.

With that, I am always playing with “new” ideas to keep me motivated and having fun outdoors. From the jungle gym, to bountiful stairs, there’s LOTS to explore. My latest is trying to find things around the house that will add resistance to: 1) my squats; 2) my hill drills. Take a look at a quick “workout tip” video using a 15lb. dog food bag.

8 more “around the house” resistance objects:

  1. bag of flour
  2. bag of rice
  3. filled up water bottle
  4. loaded backpack
  5. sealed gallon of bleach
  6. a solid rock from the back yard
  7. a fat stack of books taped together
  8. a new box of laundry soap

Create a path in your mind to EXPLORE new opportunities (in all aspects of your life). It’s called “the unconventional way” and quite frankly…that’s A-OK!

EAT LIFE WHOLE.
